Barbara Dietz

Barbara Dietz received her master's degree in economics (Dipl. Volksw.) from the University of Munich and obtained her doctorate (Dr. phil.) from the University of Bremen. She is associated researcher at the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies in Regensburg. She is involved in university teaching, advanced training, and consulting activities.

Barbara's research interests include the economic, political and social determinants and impacts of migration and the economic and social integration of immigrants.


She joined IZA as a research fellow in August 1999.
