About the Workshop |
In the aftermath of the Great Recession, one in five young people in Europe are currently unemployed, while the distribution of youth unemployment rate across countries varies substantially, with some countries facing jobless rates of 50 percent or above. Against this background, the aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers who work on the role of institutions in shaping employment opportunities for youth. Papers dealing with the role of apprenticeship, active labor market policies, hiring subsidies, and education are particularly welcome. |
