About the Workshop |
|
The 8th IZA/ECONtribute Workshop on the Economics of Education will convene international scholars focusing on the development of skills within both formal and informal educational contexts and their valuation in the labor market. The conference will feature a select group of presenters, alongside a poster session for local researchers from the host institutions. Presentations and the keynote speech will be accessible via Zoom to an external audience. |

We invite submissions on every aspect of the economics of education, including |
|
- The distribution of opportunity and early origins of labor market inequality
- Determinants of human capital and skill formation
- Inputs into educational production
- Technological change, digitization and education
- Changing labor market returns to education
- Consequences of education policy on labor markets

Submission |
|
Researchers interested in participating should submit a full paper by June 1, 2024 using our online application form. Decisions will be communicated by July 8, 2024. |

Travel and Accommodation |
|
Those authors who are invited are expected to participate in the entire 2-day workshop. Economy class airfares and 3 nights of lodging for presenting authors and discussants will be covered according to the IZA Reimbursement Guidelines if you select the option in the online application form. |
|
|
Kindly note that tax regulations prohibit IZA from fully reimbursing the travel expenses of conference participants who combine their trip with other destinations or extend their stay beyond the four-day window surrounding the event. |
|
