7th IZA Workshop on the Economics of Education
About the Workshop
We are very happy to hold the 7th IZA Workshop on the Economics of Education on September 28 – 30, 2022 (online). We combine highly interactive presentations in plenary or parallel sessions, policy discussion and our infamous randomized coffee breaks allowing for interaction in small groups between senior and junior participants.
We are delighted to announce that the keynote speaker is Sandra E. Black (Columbia University and IZA). In addition to keynote and presentations in plenary or parallel sessions, we will have an invited international policy panel featuring Katrine V. Loken (NHH and IZA), Michela Carlana (Harvard Kennedy School and IZA), Dinand Webbink (Erasmus University Rotterdam and IZA) and Jack Mountjoy (University of Chicago) to discuss chances and benefits for education research and policy-making that arise from access to administrative data.
The conference will have a limited set of full participants, who can actively engage with the speakers. We will allow an unlimited number of researchers to follow the conference via live streaming on YouTube to make a virtue of the necessity for online conferences and to make the fruits of this research endeavor as widely available as possible.
The workshop will be held over three days, September 28 – 30, 2022 in the (European) afternoons to ease participation of both European and international audiences.
