About the Workshop |
We are very pleased to announce the joint briq / IZA Workshop on Behavioral Economics of Education. The aim of the workshop is to bring together a number of junior and senior researchers to discuss their recent research related to behavioral economics, economics of education and related topics.
Topics of the workshop will include (but are not limited to):
- The role of (biased) beliefs for educational investments
- Optimal design of education policy using behavioral insights
- Determinants of educational decision-making
- Field and lab experiments related to education
- Behavioral measures of skills in children, youths and adults
- Behavioral insights from RCTs and policy interventions in education

Submissions |
Researchers interested in participating should submit a full paper or extended abstract by January 31, 2019 using our online application form.
Notification of acceptance will be provided by February 15, 2019.

Travel and Accommodation |
Those authors who are invited to present their papers are expected to participate in the entire two day workshop. Economy class airfares and up to 3 nights of lodging for presenting authors will be covered according to the briq/IZA Reimbursement Guidelines.
Kindly note that tax regulations prohibit briq/IZA from fully reimbursing the travel expenses of conference participants who combine their trip with other destinations or extend their stay beyond the four-day window surrounding the event.
Please be sure before applying that your visa status will allow you to attend the event.
