Giulietti Corrado Giulietti is Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Southampton.

His research interests are labor and development economics, with a focus on the determinants of migration, its labor market and welfare effects, the assimilation of immigrants, and the estimation of migration flows. His papers have been published in outlets such as the the Journal of Labor Economics, the Journal of Population Economics, the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, the Industrial and Labor Relations Review and was featured in the Economist, the Freakonomics blog, VoxEU and Slate, among others. Corrado has been advising the EU Commission, the EU Parliament, the OECD and the World Bank on issues related to migration.

Corrado joined IZA as a Research Associate in March 2010, after obtaining his Ph.D. from the University of Southampton. From September 2010 until February 2013 he served as Deputy Program Director for the Migration Area. From October 2011 until February 2013 he was Deputy Director of Research. He was IZA Director of Research from March 2013 until January 2016, before returning to the UK. He was the Managing Editor of the IZA Journal of Migration from 2012 to 2015. He is Associate Editor of the Journal of Population Economics since September 2016.

He became an IZA Research Fellow in March 2016.
