Grund Christian Grund is Professor of Human Reource Management and Personnel Economics at RWTH Aachen University. He studied economics and business administration at the Universities of Hannover (Diplom-Ökonom, 1997) and Bonn (Dr. rer. pol., 2001). He was a visiting scholar at Stanford University (Graduate School of Business) as well as Aarhus Business School and received his Habilitation from the University of Bonn in 2005. Before he moved to Aachen in 2012, Christian Grund held professorial positions at the University of Wuerzburg and the University of Duisburg-Essen.

His research interests include organizational theory, personnel economics and human resource management with a particular focus on empirical personnel research. He has published his work for instance in the Industrial & Labor Relations Review, Journal of Economics and Management Strategy, Economics Letters, Economic Inquiry, Applied Economics, Journal of Institutional and Theoretical Economics and the International Journal of Human Resource Management.

Christian Grund joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in September 2000 and became a Research Fellow in August 2002.
