Marx Paul Marx is professor (MSO) in comparative political sociology at University of Southern Denmark's Centre for Welfare State Research. He joined IZA in 2008 as a resident research affiliate and later as a research associate. After moving to Denmark in 2011, he remains affiliated with IZA as a research fellow.

His research interests are related to social and political inequality, political behaviour, and comparative welfare state and labour market analysis.
