too w Sinning Associate Professor Mathias Sinning is a researcher at the Crawford School of Public Policy of the Australian National University. He studied economics at the University of Heidelberg and received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Bochum in 2008. He has previously held academic appointments at the Australian National University and the University of Queensland and has been a Visiting Fellow at Princeton University. He is interested in the application of econometric methods to issues related to labor economics and public economics. He has published articles in journals such as Health Economics, Industrial Labor Relations Review and the Journal of Banking and Finance.

He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in January 2007 and became a Research Fellow in April 2010.
