About the Workshop

IZA and DFID organize the first workshop in their joint program on growth and labor markets in low-income countries. The GLM-LIC program aims to improve worldwide knowledge on labor market issues in low-income countries and provide a solid basis for capacity building and the development of future labor market policies.

Over a period of five years, promising research and capacity-building activities in the field will be selected for funding with the overall objective of delivering a significant new body of evidence on growth and labor markets that will help shape policies in LICs.

More information about the program and the first call for proposals can be found at glm-lic.iza.org.

The aim of this first workshop is to further shape the research agenda through presentations and a panel discussion involving key experts in the field of development and labor markets. We invite everyone interested in the GLM-LIC program to attend this meeting on Monday, January 30.

Please register by January 23 the latest via the online registration form. (Please note that we will cover costs for presenters/people involved in the meeting only, additional audience interested in attending the meeting would need cover travel and accommodation cost privately).
