About the Workshop

The aim of the workshop is to bring together about 25 researchers working on the economics of education discussing themes of
  • Determinants of skill formation
  • Changing returns to education
  • Technological change, digitization and education
  • Inputs into educational production
  • Efficiency of interventions
  • Unintended policy consequences
We specifically encourage but do not exclusively focus on submissions that highlight the interplay between education system and labor market against the background of a changing world of work.
The keynote lecture will be given by Prof. John N. Friedman (Brown University).
 

Submissions

Researchers interested in participating should submit a full paper by May 31, 2019 using our online application form. Notifications will be send until June 30, 2019.
 

Travel and Accommodation

Those authors who are invited to present their papers are expected to participate in the entire three day workshop. Economy class airfares and up to 3 nights of lodging for presenting authors and discussants will be covered according to the IZA reimbursement guidelines.
Kindly note that tax regulations prohibit IZA from fully reimbursing the travel expenses of participants who combine their trip with other destinations or extend their stay beyond the four-day window surrounding the event.
